About island of Møn

The island of Møn and nearby island of Nyord have been declared the first nordic Dark Sky Park and Community.
Its remoteness from city lights provides one of the best places in the world to experience and view a dark sky full of stars. In August you have very hight chances of seeing many shooting stars.
Dark Sky is a phenomenon that covers areas where the right conditions apply - including minimal light pollution, so it will be possible to see a clear starry sky. The most beautiful stars will adorn the sky and it will be possible to see the Milky Way in these areas.
